This will be a nice short article on how to upload, select, and make ranks on your phpBB3 forum.
Firstly, you will need your rank images saved onto your PC. Go to your cPanel/FTP and navigate to the root/images/ranks/ folder. Upload all rank images with appropriate file names in there.
After you have done this, you need to go to your phpBB forum and load up your ACP. Click the Users & Groups tab, and then select Manage Ranks. Click "Add New Rank". You will then be brought to the create new rank page.
Select the name (title) of your rank. Select the rank image you would like to use for this rank via the drop-down menu. Then select whether the rank is a special rank or not. If it is a special rank, it means it cannot be earned by posting. You either have to give the person the rank manually, or set it to do it automatically when they're added to a group. All staff ranks should be set to special ranks. If the ranks are for members as they post, select no on this option then select the amount of posts a user needs before that rank will display. Then press the submit button when all fields are filled out.
