When you're first opening or starting out a forum, what is one of the first things that you do to get starting out in the first steps?

Personally, I get the staff team entirely developed before I even go much further. Without the team, the forum wouldn't be much possible.

Before opening, I'd add content first. At least to show what the place is actually about. Along the way adding content, I'll try to reach several people who might share the same interest to get things working and start advertising. So you can say I try to develop content and member (staff team possibly) at the same time.

Staff is the first thing i get but they hate me in the end xD

I get the software, style, and content looking good. After that, I get a sound team. Not much you can do with just a staff team and no forum

Anyway, what Darthmaul said is also true. Basically it's hard to say which one to pick first, I suppose. Everything should proceed together, supporting the other lack or process in background. The forum and content are important as much as a stable basis of members with the same interest to start with.

i was kinda being sarcastic there because of what darthmaul said i was saying you could get all your staff and get them all ready to start a site and then just quit and your done you dont need a site you dont need a staff because darth said
