Hello, forumers!

I wanted to inform you all of a system that we placed in the forum in order to keep it safe from spammers and hackers. In the lower right hand corner of each page, there is a link that says '** Report an Emergency **.' This is to be used when you see a spammer or hacker in action. All of our administrators are paged immediately when this button is pressed. So please be sure not to use it unless it is a true emergency happening on the forum. Once again, this is to only be used if an emergency is occurring on ForuMansion.

But what if it's a spam bot? You guys would get thousands of alerts.

If we actually do see this becoming a problem, we will have to deactivate this feature and let the spam set for however long. Meaning, it would be pointless to spam or abuse this system.

Haha remember when you were all pissed at us a couple days ago because of this feature?

Please be aware, that although ALL of us admins get the message, we mightn't be able to act immediately, so we require assistance from all of our staff, which may involve them banning a user. If you are caught spamming by a team member, the ban may be temporary, or permanent. Your profile will be reviewed by an admin, and the ban may be lifted, pending the results of the review.

Please do NOT abuse this system, as we get the message right away, however, we have to prioritise life, sometimes we have to let the spam sit & rot.

Can someone please give us a reason to keep this feature alive, as it has been abused, and we are considering to remove it?

This removal to ensure we don't get pointless messages and react promptly, only to find out it was/is a hoax. Every report using this tool has been a hoax to date.

Just make it so that user cannot use the system. 'Nuff said

The thing is, we don't know who's sending the messages, plus the PM's are working on a completely different system :-(
