As technician I'd like to keep everyone informed of whats going on regarding the forums features and technical side of things.

I'll be using this thread to keep you informed of any changes, big or small or any upcoming features.
You can use it for suggestions and feedback to if you wish to.

I'll often be making small improvement here and there around the forum, and when they are complete I'll mention them here.
However when the forum recieves a big general update which comes with new features, the new features will be mentioned as part of the general update made by the Admin.

So to sum up, this is my thread to keep you all informed on whats going on, and a thread for you to express what you want and what you think.

I've just finished making a small improvement to the profile pages.

When you visit peoples profiles you see tabs which specify the section of profile. (Statistics, Friends, COntact etc).
These tabs allways annoyed me because they refreshed the page, which in my opinion isn't needed. Its not what tabs are for.

And so not too long ago I made a small improvement to those tabs, they now will not change the page, but instead the main content beneath the tab will change when you click the tab, without a page refresh or page change or anything.

Just a part of making things faster.

Next, if its okay with the Admin, I wish to make a few style changes to the Quick Reply editor, to make it look more appealing.
And after I begin working on a big feature which I think will improve the place.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion. However, making something easier to use is just a statement. That's not an opinion.

Today I finished the new quotes.

When you quote a post, you'll see a little extra BBcode inside the textbox, and when you post it, you'll see a looks a little difference.
The improved quotes, contains the user who the post is a quote of, but its also linked to their profile, it also contains a link back to the post in which the quote is from. .. You'll see it.
This is only available to those NOT using the WYSIWYG editor... unfortunately the WYSIWYG editor isn't great and I don't have the access needed to improve it. The only option would be getting rid of it.

I've also, made a small pop up for new private messages. It will show up in the top right corner. Its nothing that special, but it will mean its a lot more obvious when you have new PM's now.
