What hosting companies have you used before?

I've only used Hawk Host and I absolutely love them.

Have you ever used any kind of 'post to host' type of hosting company? I just get the feeling that they are not very reliable and stable, since you're not paying for the hosting.

Ive used a few others on a short term basis (like buying a month of hosting to check the host out), but the above 3 Ive used for extended periods of time. Lunar Pages and Cirtex both gave me problems. Lunar would threaten to suspend my account from time to time if I didn't reduce server & CPU usage. Cirtex had its server security settings set too high and would IP ban my visitors if they refreshed a page too many times or browsed the forum too quickly. Ive been on Hawk Host for the last couple years and its been smooth sailing. Ive only contacted support a couple times & they always solve my problems quickly and are nice/polite about it.

Like theezy and Cody, I use Hawk Host. They've been simply amazing to me. They're quick to help with any problems I may have--most of these problems I accidentally created myself--or any any questions that I may have. They're very professional and as theezy mentioned, they're also very polite. I'd recommend them to anyone.

I got to step into this topic for a moment. Cirtex Hosting sucked, and still sucks. I was using their services and it took them about 2-3 days for a "valid response" I'd get run-arounds not to mention the server they put me on was constantly crashing on top of of-course terrible customer/technical support. They were by far one of the worst companies I've ever had to deal with. I heard hawk-host is good but if you want a server they are super expensive compared to some others you can find.

I've used Hawk host before and they were fairly good to me, I got my money's worth.

I use corporate pride, as I know the owner very well. I really love the hosting service, and for what I have, it runs extremely fast; also, any problems I have are easy and quick to fix with tech support!

I use TIERRA. Really great people over there.

My forum offers a post to host, and it's as Great service as paying.

i am using Hawkhost & no problems at all till now.

I have only used one, which is UZRHosting. I faced quite some errors so far, but at least the support is pretty good. I don't blame them for the last accident on my site, partly it was my own stupidity as well, yeah.

I haven't used many hosting companies. HawkHost is very good. Another good host is HostChefs, but it's too expensive for me.
