Do you believe in it, why or why not?

Yes, I believe in it. It's such a silly thing to legalize because of how safe it is to use (well, it's more safe than alcohol and that's legal).

I'm neutral on this. I have no reason for marijuana.

Well there are two kinds.
Medical marijuana, and the regular kind that gets you high.
I wouldnt say that the regular drug kind shouldnt be legal for thousands of reasons.
One is if they make marijuana legal then they should just go ahead and make cocaine and herione legal.

Why would they have to make cocaine and herione legal as well? Why shouldn't it be allowed for recreational use?Gambit wrote:Well there are two kinds.

The difference between recreactional marijuana and medical marijuana is only in the way that it is used. Obviously, if you do not know the difference between cocaine/herione and weed, you should do some research before posting in a debate topic.
Marijuana in no way affects your sense of judgement. It is a drug that has no physical addiction, meaning you do not have withdrawals if you abstain from it for a certain amount of time. There have been 0 deaths in the US that have been directly related to marijuana. Cocaine/Heroine on the other hand have quite strong physical addictions and kill over 500,000 people yearly. Cocaine/Heroine alter your judgement and sometimes put you in a completely comatose mode.

Here in Canada, it is legal (in some provinces)
Well, I think some people's main cocern about weed, is the gang wars related to it, always involving drugs.
I am not a user, but I would care less if it was legalized or not.

Marijuana to me is no worse then a having a beer. I think they should legalize it and then tax it.

Agreed. Personally, out of the two I'd ban beer over marijuana. Maybe it's just me, but marijuana had less of an effect and the effect it did have was better and didn't impair me as much.AllanD wrote:Marijuana to me is no worse then a having a beer. I think they should legalize it and then tax it.

I disagree. I think that a medication that is already legal, can take care of the problems.

Most medicinal drugs today that do the same thing as weed can easily get someone addicted or kill them. Not only that, but why are cigarettes legal? Weed is 200% much safer then cigarettes.Cody wrote:I disagree. I think that a medication that is already legal, can take care of the problems.
