Do you have an members that obsess with your website? I define this as a user who stays so dedicated to a forum, that he decides to start being very picky over the smallest decisions and begins moderating other users, as a member. I have been reading over some topics on Forum Promotion and I saw someone who made a big scene about a topic being a global announcement, with the forum owner. That is making a big deal over nothing.

I believe we have about one or two, here. But does your forum have any of these?

I've had one before. Total disaster. I think I have another at SF that's overstepped himself. Bout to be smacked back down.

Cant say that I have. Of course there is people who have disagreements with certain things, but I dont think they are obsessed with anything, they just have an opinion. If they are being irrational and obscene about it, then they might have to be put on mod queue until they calm down.

Yeah, I've had them a variety of times. There was one person who was so bad about obsessing, they ended up being banned. It was so bad.

Theezy, I agree with letting them know about that. But most of the time, if you call them out on it, they'll end up leaving and never come back.

We have. The case was a former staff member.

Yes I've ran across a member like that. They are funny I must say. Seems like someone who is just power hungry.

Never say I have, aslong as they don't moderate other user's I'm alright with it. Though, I've never minded a little "Oh, don't double post, just saying. Make sure to read the rules or else a moderator might give you a punishment." But anything past that in my opinion is just out-of-hand.

Yeah. They tend to enforce the rules more than a member should. (Which is none.) It gets to me sometimes. But it can also sometimes show leadership.

Fortunately I don't have such member. My members have always been very supportive and helpful. Some others might be a bit silent but never found someone this obsessed. Never I saw them in sites I visited before too, so I couldn't really imagine it. ^^;
